Investing Beyond The Rail

The Central Corridor Funders Collaborative strongly supports the Central Corridor Light Rail Line because it offers opportunities to strengthen the regional economy and make the adjacent neighborhoods better places to live, work and access opportunity. Everyone involved has a stake in making decisions about the Corridor that will benefit the region and the neighborhoods. The work ahead is not just about transit. We encourage thinking, investment, and planning “beyond the rail.”

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

As it connects two downtowns, the University of Minnesota, the Midway area and the State Capitol, the Central Corridor Light Rail Line crosses through a number of distinct neighborhoods. Look here for news, events and plans affecting these diverse places.

Everyone in the room shared these Funders Collaborative affordable housing goals. The complexity of our common challenge was apparent during our discussion — but we were also encouraged by the progress. Read more.
